Our accessories are constructed of heavyweight cotton canvas, quilted for extra protection and hand silk-screened with signature Thomaspaul designs. The word Luddite refers to a movement in the early nineteenth century by a group of British textile artists who protested the changes brought to their industry by the Industrial Revolution, often they destroyed mechanical looms, which they felt were taking work away from themselves. The items in this collection are inspired by this idea of turning back the clock and focusing on a simpler way of living.
